Company
builds AI-native manufacturing systems that integrate software, hardware, and physics to produce industrial-scale parts through advanced manufacturing.
What you will do
- Design and redesign energy hardware for turbines, rotating machinery, heat exchangers, thermal management, valves, manifolds, pressure vessels, burners, combustors, and fuel delivery systems.
- Develop component-level understanding of requirements, performance drivers, and system constraints across energy generation, transmission, and storage programs.
- Reimagine parts from first principles by applying additive manufacturing to create new geometries, consolidate assemblies, improve performance, and reduce cost or lead time.
- Evaluate concepts based on materials, tolerances, thermal and structural behavior, manufacturability, qualification, and production scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to establish feasibility and execution plans.
- Work directly with customer engineering teams, identify new application areas, and provide feedback for product, process, and technology roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience in power generation, oil and gas, nuclear, renewable energy, or a related advanced energy industry.
- Experience designing or analyzing turbomachinery, thermal systems, fluid systems, pressure-bearing hardware, or high-performance structural components.
- Systems-level understanding of complex mechanical hardware and component integration within larger assemblies.
- Ability to work onsite full-time, five days per week, in Hawthorne, Los Angeles.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with metal 3D printing and design for additive manufacturing.
- Experience with design for manufacturing, hardware qualification, production ramp, and producibility.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Strong first-principles reasoning and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Culture & Benefits
- Inclusive, diverse, collaborative culture focused on learning and data-driven decisions.
- Significant stock option package and employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life insurance, traditional and Roth 401(k), paid vacation, sick leave, and company holidays.
- Relocation assistance, paid parental leave, and extended transition support for the birthing parent.
- Flexible work hours, catered daily meals, casual dress, and regular team-building events.
