Postdoctoral Research Associate (Genomics)

Location: College Station, Texas, United States

Salary: $5,000 per month; $60,000 annually.

What you will do

• Conduct research in the area of expertise and complete genomics research projects.
• Perform quality control and initial data handling for next-generation sequencing datasets.
• Interpret QC metrics independently and troubleshoot sequencing issues.
• Analyze research data, summarize results, and support advanced bioinformatics analyses.
• Coordinate client-focused research projects and collaborate with wet-lab and computational scientists.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, research papers, articles, and publications; mentor student and graduate researchers as needed.

Requirements

• PhD in a related field.
• Strong background in molecular biology and computational genomics.
• Understanding of quality control metrics for next-generation sequencing datasets.
• Familiarity with high-throughput data generation and sequencing technologies.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Availability to work weekends or outside normal hours and travel when required.
