Technician I, Sequencing (Genomics)

Location: Onsite in Fremont, California, United States; Friday–Monday, 4 days × 10 hours

What you will do

• Follow laboratory protocols and operate sequencing development systems to deliver test results.
• Manage shared laboratory equipment, including calibration and maintenance procedures.
• Analyze quality-control metrics from instrument runs and prepare datasets for analysis.
• Document and escalate issues identified while testing development instrumentation.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Development groups to verify and validate product operational and performance requirements.

Requirements

• AA/AS degree or higher in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented approach and ability to follow complex SOPs with reproducible results and thorough documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to work onsite in the Fremont, California office on a Friday–Monday schedule.

Nice to have

• Wet-lab and intensive pipetting experience.
