Salary: $65,589–$75,569 per year, based on postdoctoral experience

What you will do

• Lead research projects examining the mechanisms and consequences of structural variants in human and mammalian genomes.
• Analyze genomic and transcriptomic data from human and mouse samples using bioinformatics tools.
• Conduct cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, and other laboratory experiments.
• Interpret genomic variation and its effects on transcription.
• Generate reproducible analyses, apply statistical methods, curate data, and maintain documentation.
• Write manuscripts and grant applications, present findings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers.

Requirements

• PhD in Physiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with multiple experimental techniques and statistical inference.
• Ability or willingness to learn Python or R and common bioinformatics tools.
• Strong peer-reviewed publication record.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and independent working skills.
• Ability to maintain laboratory equipment and reagents and follow safety protocols.

Nice to have

• Experience with iPSC culture and differentiation.
• Knowledge of structural variation and variant mechanisms.
• Experience with computational libraries for tabular data and statistical analysis.
• Experience running jobs and pipelines on high-performance computing clusters.
• Experience working in a Linux command-line environment.
