Software Engineer II (C++/React)

Location: Middletown, Rhode Island, United States; must be local to the work location. Occasional telework is available.

Salary: $72,826.14–$126,630.53 annually.

What you will do

• Understand, create, and modify applications using C++ on Linux, React, MariaDB, and Python.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and test system and software integrations.
• Support software requirements, designs, development, and maintenance.
• Conduct code reviews and help resolve feedback.
• Design and implement software within an agile team with minimal direction.
• Collaborate with functional team leads and development partners.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field; equivalent graduate-level experience may apply.
• Experience with C++ on Linux, React, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
• Strong object-oriented development, automated testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Linux-based systems, relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL/MariaDB, and network protocols and debugging techniques.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and work locally in Middletown, Rhode Island.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Eclipse, VS Code, Bamboo, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
