Software Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Relocation eligible; travel required up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide reliability and performance engineering support for Computer-Integrated Manufacturing products used by semiconductor fabs.
• Work with subject-matter experts and AI tools to automate and improve reliability test methodologies and analysis.
• Conduct root cause analysis of software problems, propose engineering solutions, and establish preventive measures.
• Perform proof of concepts for new software technologies.
• Develop software documentation and test procedures.
• Communicate project requirements, ideas, and results with internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics with software experience, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Excellent working experience with Linux and/or Windows and databases.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
• Prior experience with enterprise distributed applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET or Kubernetes.
• Experience using AI to solve software systems problems.
• Conceptual knowledge of software engineering and willingness to learn semiconductor manufacturing software and new technologies.
