Software Engineer III (Rust/C++)

Location: Hybrid in Richardson, Texas; on-site with the team 2–3 days per week, typically. Candidates should live within about 50 miles of the office.

Salary: $125,100–$164,000 USD base salary, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Define requirements, design, and implement secure message gateways.
• Develop features and extensions for cross-domain security products using Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.
• Build and maintain software development tools, test infrastructure, and operational support capabilities.
• Integrate and test product features in secure Linux desktop and enterprise environments.
• Apply TCP/IP networking concepts and related protocols to cross-domain capabilities.
• Develop data inspection policies and provide technical briefings to customers and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or an equivalent discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Software development experience in Linux using Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP networking and protocols such as HTTP, SSH, IPsec, and TLS/SSL.
• Understanding of public and private keys, certificates, and Git-based version control.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance if required and right to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Link 16, JREAP-C, TADIL-J, USMTF, VMF, or related standards and protocols.
• Cross-domain solution security design and architecture experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools, Agile or Scrum, cloud platforms, or virtual desktop technologies.
