Senior Research Associate, Bioanalytical & Molecular Assays (Molecular Biology)

What you will do

• Perform molecular and cellular bioanalytical assays, including gel electrophoresis, ddPCR, qPCR, RT-qPCR, and RNA quantitation in biological matrices.
• Develop, optimize, qualify, and validate phase-appropriate assays supporting pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analyses.
• Generate and review analytical data, validation reports, and study reports while maintaining data integrity and scientific rigor.
• Transfer analytical methods into a GCLP-compliant clinical framework and collaborate with internal and external laboratories.
• Maintain SOPs, laboratory documentation, electronic laboratory notebooks, equipment, and critical reagents.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Sample Management, and development teams on sample journeys, laboratory manuals, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience, in molecular biology or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience performing clinical molecular assays in bioanalytical and GCLP/GLP environments.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology and nucleic acid characterization techniques, including gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, and qPCR.
• Knowledge of GCLP requirements, analytical science regulations, and current industry expectations.
• Ability to communicate program objectives, analyze data, and present findings to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in the Oxford-based 70/30 in-office model.
