Senior Technical Specialist - DMPK

What you will do

• Develop, optimise, and execute bioanalysis of samples from in vivo DMPK studies for small and large molecule drug discovery projects.
• Develop chromatographic methods and operate modern UPLC-MS systems and related software.
• Perform routine and complex troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimisation of mass spectrometry and LC equipment.
• Determine pharmacokinetic parameters and analyse samples including plasma, blood, brain, lung, bile, faeces, and urine.
• Lead scientific and technical projects, delivering high-quality data to agreed timelines and driving continuous improvement.
• Mentor, coach, and develop colleagues while acting as a recognised technical subject matter expert.

Requirements

• BSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Industry experience in pharma, biotech, or another commercial organisation.
• Expert use of mass spectrometry instrumentation and experience with LC-MS/MS maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing bioanalytical methods for challenging analytes in complex matrices, including bespoke small-molecule method development.
• Experience with project management, independent work planning, accurate experimental execution, and technical problem-solving.
• Experience guiding or mentoring junior colleagues, with strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
