Senior Avionics Integration Engineer (F-15 FMS)

Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, United States. Onsite role with 10–25% travel to program reviews, site visits, airframe and test locations.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise for existing, modified, and new avionics hardware and software across mission systems, sensors, aircraft systems, subsystems, and operations.
• Support engineering, test, and evaluation activities through reviews, technical materials, briefings, documentation, and planning.
• Analyze contractor proposals, technical documentation, engineering change proposals, acquisition documents, export licenses, and related materials.
• Lead engineering and test activities spanning delivery, training, operations, maintenance, sustainment, flight testing, anomaly tracking, and test documentation.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, DCMA, subcontractors, flight crews, and test managers on DoD and USAF requirements.
• Provide foreign military sales and security assistance expertise across acquisition, delivery, sustainment, program closure, and international stakeholder coordination.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge and recognized leadership ability in the relevant technical or professional field.
• Ability to develop requirements, provide strategic technical guidance, perform complex analyses, and recommend solutions for mission-critical challenges.
• Ability to oversee junior, journeyman, and senior personnel across multiple disciplines.
• BS degree and 25 years of experience, including 15 years in the DoD; or MS degree and 20 years of experience, including 12 years in the DoD.
• ABET-accredited BS or MS degree in engineering.
• SECRET security clearance required.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in operational and test organizations involving fighter or bomber platforms.
• Pilot or weapons system operator experience in a test environment.
• Familiarity with fourth-generation fighter aircraft, systems, and subsystems.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, foreign disclosure, Congressional notification, and RIP/RIS approval processes.
