Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer – Surveillance (Avionics)

Location: On-site in Phoenix, AZ or Grand Rapids, MI, United States

What you will do

• Develop system designs, specifications, architectures, and models for surveillance avionics.
• Create and execute system-level test procedures and validation activities.
• Analyze test results and support system modeling, verification, and flight-test activities.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering activities and contribute to engineering process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with at least 9 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a graduate degree with 7 years of experience or no degree with 13 years of experience.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in avionics or systems engineering.
• Experience with system requirements, validation procedures, and system testing.
• Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes.
• Familiarity with TCAS, transponders, ADS-B, and TAWS.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ or Grand Rapids, MI.
