What you will do
- Support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center WAM directorate and the F-16 division.
- Research, design, develop, test, and troubleshoot computer systems and their components.
- Support procurement and integration of next-generation mission computers, including hardware, firmware, memory, CPU, GPU, middleware, and software solutions.
- Integrate Open Systems Architecture standards, coordinate with software developers, and facilitate airworthiness approvals.
- Support embedded hardware and software integration, system testing, validation, and weapons integration for air-to-air and air-to-ground systems.
- Derive and verify engineering requirements and support design, qualification, certification, fielding, reporting, and technical correspondence for F-16 mission computer upgrades.
Requirements
- Active or current top-secret security clearance verifiable in DISS.
- Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program; engineering technology degrees do not qualify.
- Masterβs or doctoral degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD; alternatively, a bachelorβs degree with at least 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
- Alternatively, at least 15 years of directly related experience with required certifications, including 8 years in the DoD.
- Recommended background includes an ABET-accredited degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering and at least 10 years of fighter aircraft avionics engineering experience.
- Expertise in U.S. military aircraft mission computers and Operational Flight Program development, including translating and re-hosting programs to newer languages and processors.
