Avionics/Aerospace Engineering Support (F-16)

What you will do

• Support and assess prime contractor and subcontractor systems design, development, integration, verification, and aircraft modernization activities.
• Develop avionics technical tasks and system requirements for program schedules, airworthiness certification plans, and Systems Engineering Plans.
• Provide engineering guidance for F-16 modification programs, feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and system compatibility assessments.
• Assess technical risks, investigate engineering issues, and recommend development paths or requirement changes.
• Support RFP development, technical requirements documentation, source selections, and evaluation of contractor proposals.
• Participate in F-16 program boards, system safety groups, design reviews, program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and configuration audits.

Requirements

• Active top-secret security clearance required.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in the DoD; or a Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
• Alternatively, at least 15 years of directly related experience with the certifications required by the PWS labor category, including 8 years in the DoD.
• A minimum of 10 years of DoD acquisition program office experience is recommended.
