What you will do

• Perform tool and die machining for can-making machinery using blueprints, technical manuals, procedures, and verbal instructions.
• Operate CNC grinders, lathes, mills, welders, plasma cutters, and other tool-and-die equipment.
• Repair, refurbish, rebuild, and overhaul tooling, measuring instruments, gearboxes, pumps, and other production equipment.
• Analyze defective parts and tooling with engineers, supervisors, and mechanics to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Measure raw materials, select appropriate tooling and fixtures, and perform quality checks on incoming tooling.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other safe working practices while supporting improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, equivalent qualification, or trade school training.
• 2–5 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use mechanical measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
• Experience operating mills, lathes, surface grinders, welders, and similar machinery.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical manuals.
• Reliability, deadline management, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
