Machinist (Overnight 10PM-6AM) (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global campus in Pella, Iowa, USA. Third shift: 10PM–6AM. No travel expected.

Hourly wage: $26.20–$28.87.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers, CNC turning centers, press brakes, lasers, drills, benders, and plate cutters using Fanuc, Siemens, and HAAS controls.
• Read blueprints and GD&T specifications, select tooling and fixtures, load programs, and maintain tool and work offsets.
• Make basic program edits at the machine control as directed.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges while documenting results and maintaining tight tolerances.
• Load and unload materials using overhead or jib cranes and hoists while following EHS, LOTO, PPE, and rigging procedures.
• Perform equipment checks and TPM, meet throughput targets, minimize scrap, and support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Entry-level machining experience or formal training through a technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to complete the hirify.global Machining Training Program.
• Ability to learn part-quality verification with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Ability to operate and set up CNC and metal-forming equipment and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Ability to apply shop math, including decimals, fractions, and basic trigonometry.
• Commitment to workplace safety, equipment care, organization, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement.
