Tool & Die Journeyperson - 1st Shift

Location: Rocklin, California, United States; onsite in the facility. First shift: 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; the position may require working any shift.

Starting pay: $33.44–$38.97 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with regular increases.

What you will do

• Produce precision parts from engineering prints, applying tolerances and using precision measuring tools.
• Operate CNC and manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other tool room equipment.
• Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies; set up, test, and run off tooling to produce products to specification.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, tools, and die sets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, and perform milling, turning, grinding, heat treating, CNC programming, assembly, and try-out operations.
• Operate a crane, follow safety procedures, and work safely while lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.

Requirements

• 0–5 years of work experience preferred; extensive technical or specialized training from a technical school or the first two or three years of college.
• Proficiency with computers and good communication skills.
• Working knowledge of CAD software is required.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, climb ladders or scaffolding, and work in shop positions for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and manipulate small parts with the fingers.
• Ability to hear alarms, sirens, and mechanical equipment and meet the stated visual requirements.
