Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with work throughout Pennsylvania

Salary: USD $36.08–$46.90 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect various facets of transportation construction work on active construction sites.
• Take field measurements and perform related calculations.
• Prepare inspection reports and project documentation.
• Verify that approved materials and construction processes are being used.
• Ensure construction conforms to project plans, specifications, and special provisions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of transportation construction experience; PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, highway, or bridge project experience is preferred.
• Qualifying experience and certifications at the TCIS-1, TCIS-2, or higher level, including applicable PennDOT, NECEPT, and NICET Highway Construction certifications.
• Acceptable alternatives include 8 years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection supervision or management experience with specified certifications.
• Up to 12 years of relevant transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection supervision or management experience may qualify if accepted by the Department.
• Only NICET certifications in Highway Construction are accepted, unless an alternative subfield receives Central Office approval.
