Director of Risk Management (Claims)

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide risk management, safety, loss prevention, compliance, and claims programs across club operations.
• Develop safety standards, policies, training, audits, and incident-prevention programs for club leadership and employees.
• Analyze incidents, claims, near misses, and operational data to identify trends, perform root cause analyses, and implement risk-reduction actions.
• Oversee liability, property, auto, environmental, and Workers' Compensation claims, including complex and litigated matters.
• Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, TPAs, adjusters, defense counsel, and other service providers.
• Present risk, safety, claims, and loss-prevention metrics to executive leadership and partner with Operations, HR, Finance, and Legal.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in risk management, safety, insurance, claims, loss prevention, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Insurance, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Expertise in enterprise risk management, safety programs, loss prevention, claims administration, and insurance program management.
• Experience leading multi-site or geographically dispersed operations and implementing risk reduction, safety training, and compliance initiatives.
• Knowledge of General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Property, and environmental risk programs.
• Experience with self-insured retention programs, litigation, reserving, complex casualty claims, RMIS platforms, claims reporting, and safety analytics.

Nice to have

• Experience in hospitality, golf, resorts, leisure, real estate, or other multi-location operating environments.
• Strong analytical, financial, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
