Risk & Claims Manager (Property Management)

Location: Primarily office-based with regular in-office presence required at the Irving, TX Corporate Office; occasional travel to company communities and other business locations.

Salary: $80,000 or more per year, depending on qualifications, plus performance-based bonus opportunities tied to positive-outcome KPIs.

What you will do

• Investigate property-related incidents, claims, accidents, and operational risk events.
• Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective action recommendations.
• Assess recurring operational risks and implement loss prevention and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Coordinate incident response, claim tendering, claims communications, tracking, and documentation.
• Prepare claims reporting and data for insurance renewals, underwriting reviews, and operational decisions.
• Partner with regional, community, maintenance, insurance, client, and executive stakeholders to improve risk accountability.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of multifamily property management experience in risk management, claims management, operations, or a related area.
• Experience investigating incidents, claims, or operational issues.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with risk assessment, loss prevention, incident investigation, root cause analysis, claims coordination, and operational risk management.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence accountability without direct authority.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
