Claims Manager, Worker's Compensation

Location: Henderson, Nevada, United States. US work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $91,400–$190,500 per year, with potential eligibility for the annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Manage and develop a team of claims examiners with varied experience levels.
• Direct new-loss assignments and oversee the resolution of low- to high-complexity workers’ compensation claims.
• Review and approve correspondence, reports, reserves, and settlements exceeding examiner authority.
• Participate in large-loss reviews with underwriting, actuarial, professional liability, and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with fair claims practices and internal claims quality objectives.
• Prepare reports and budgets, evaluate resources and expenses, and attend claim-office visits, mediations, trials, and conferences as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of insurance industry experience with broad and deep workers’ compensation knowledge.
• Experience managing people.
• Strong strategic thinking, organization, time management, written and oral communication, and customer service skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
