What you will do
- Provide systems engineering support for new AEGIS and ABMD baselines.
- Gather, process, and analyze system performance data against certification and operational requirements.
- Recommend design and performance improvements using tactical and operational insights.
- Develop and maintain MATLAB-based tools for data processing and analysis.
- Support certification processes, flight test missions, configuration control boards, and operational readiness reporting.
- Improve data collection methodologies and analytical tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or a related technical field, plus 8 or more years of industry or DoD/DoN experience.
- US citizenship and an active Secret clearance or higher are required.
- Experience with AEGIS Combat Systems and strong experience in systems engineering, test planning, and performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of RADAR engineering and physics, including detection and tracking optimization using the SPY-6 RADAR in the AEGIS Weapons System.
- Experience with testing and development protocols and documentation for program development, system qualification, and certification.
- Proficiency with MATLAB or an equivalent data analysis tool; willingness to travel to test and operational sites as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience with SCUS, SABE, GICA, MMSP, or Fiber Optic Delay Line systems.
- Previous support for Navy or DoD development and test programs.
- Experience with Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
