What you will do

• Develop independent research projects in RNA biology based on scientific interests, expertise, and career goals.
• Investigate post-transcriptional gene regulation and the functions of noncoding RNAs in health and disease.
• Write scientific manuscripts and present research findings at national and international meetings.
• Apply for fellowships and grants while developing an independent research program.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to collaborative laboratory and departmental activities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, structural biology, developmental biology, cancer biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Less than two years of prior postdoctoral research experience.
• Strong commitment to research integrity and a resilient, positive approach to scientific research.
• Willingness to participate fully in laboratory and departmental activities, support colleagues, and mentor junior scientists.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of laboratory work, including extended standing or sitting, manual dexterity, communication, and moving materials weighing several pounds.
