Sr Staff Systems Engineer (Windows)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $124,500–$182,500 per year

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available Windows servers, Active Directory, enterprise applications, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and related infrastructure.
• Implement secure design practices, patching, remediation, compliance controls, and infrastructure improvements with information security and application teams.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, system automation, monitoring, configuration management, and endpoint management initiatives.
• Manage third-party vendors and consultants while providing technical guidance and project delivery support.
• Provide third-tier support, participate in the on-call rotation, and maintain system documentation.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across IT teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of Windows systems administration experience in a global environment.
• Deep expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, ADSI, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
• Experience with hybrid environments, cloud platforms, enterprise identity management, MFA, authentication, and authorization systems such as Okta, Duo, and SAML.
• Experience with SQL Server, Veeam, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, scripting, automation tools, configuration management, endpoint management, M365, monitoring tools, ServiceNow, or Jira.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Strong experience with VMware ESXi, cloud-based virtualization, failover clustering, and DFS/DFSR.
• DevOps experience with GitHub, CI/CD, or SQL.
• Experience with mobile device management platforms and zero trust architecture.
