Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable cloud infrastructure with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Design high-performance compute environments with optimized networking and storage stacks.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments.
• Automate infrastructure workflows and build complex CI/CD pipelines.
• Build custom cloud images and implement monitoring and observability for performance-critical workloads.
• Lead on-premises-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud migrations of HPC and distributed workloads while improving compute, storage, and scheduling efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
• Strong expertise in HPC and distributed workloads, Linux systems, cloud networking, and storage architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools and production-grade cloud platforms.
• Experience with NFS, object, block, parallel or distributed storage, HPC schedulers such as Slurm or HTCondor, and distributed computing frameworks such as Ray.
