Software Engineering Manager

Location: San Antonio, Texas, with additional locations in Denver, Colorado; Findlay, Ohio; and Houston, Texas.

Salary: $141,300–$212,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead front-end, backend, and full-stack software engineering teams through daily operations, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor employees and oversee recruitment, development, retention, performance reviews, compensation reviews, and staffing decisions.
• Plan and deliver low- to medium-complexity IT projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Drive secure, reliable, and frequent software releases using Agile methodologies and DevSecOps principles.
• Align engineering roadmaps with business objectives and participate in architecture and technology decisions.
• Manage budgets and metrics, ensure compliance with IT standards, and identify opportunities for technology adoption and process optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related computer field.
• 10+ years of diversified IT experience and 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of software design, development, and Agile practices.
• Advanced knowledge of C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Blazor, React, or Angular, plus DBMS and T-SQL or PL/SQL.
• Experience with cloud-native solutions and platforms including Azure, Salesforce, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building internal and external APIs, modernizing monolithic architectures, and applying DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and application security practices.
