Senior Associate, Operational Mapping Specialist (Autodesk Revit)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; in-person attendance required. Relocation assistance is not provided, but candidates based outside the Los Angeles area may apply if they can work on-site in Los Angeles.

Annual base salary: $73,000–$98,000.

What you will do

• Develop workflows for exporting temporary overlays and venue architectural plans from Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for operational planning.
• Build layered KMZ/KML structures and interactive digital maps showing operational components.
• Create printed and digital 2D maps for pedestrian and vehicle flows, equipment placement, team deployment, egress paths, and accessible routes.
• Interview subject matter experts and venue teams, translating complex operational requirements into clear visual tools.
• Establish mapping standards, version control, file-naming protocols, and stakeholder sign-off procedures.
• Coordinate mapping phases, milestones, dependencies, and progress reporting across departments over a two-year timeline.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in operational mapping, event spatial planning, GIS, architectural visualization, CAD drafting, urban planning, scenic design, or event venue operations.
• Proficiency in navigating, isolating views, and exporting clean base files from Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, plus expert-level KMZ/KML and overlay creation.
• Experience with version control, file-naming protocols, master-file management, milestone tracking, and multi-department project dependencies.
• Ability to translate complex 3D spaces and verbal stakeholder input into clear 2D maps and visual communications.
• Post-secondary technical certificate or professional diploma in GIS, urban planning, architecture, graphic design, sport management, or a related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles with in-person attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with major multi-sport events, festivals, exhibitions, or temporary infrastructure planning.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator or InDesign.
• Professional training or certifications in Autodesk AutoCAD/Revit, ESRI ArcGIS/QGIS, or Adobe Creative Suite.
