Revit Designer (MEP/BIM)

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States; hybrid work from the office and home, with fully remote work considered for highly qualified candidates. Up to 10% travel to project locations.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop and coordinate MEP BIM models and construction documents for new construction, renovation, and facility modification projects at LOD 200, 300, and 350.
• Create HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection layouts, equipment plans, piping and ductwork, riser diagrams, schedules, details, and interdisciplinary coordination documents.
• Set up Revit models, coordinate architectural and structural backgrounds, apply project standards and BIM Execution Plan requirements, and integrate non-Autodesk 3D files.
• Support BIM coordination and clash detection using Revit and Navisworks, resolving conflicts across MEP, architectural, structural, and other disciplines.
• Produce record drawings from contractor redlines, RFIs, as-built documentation, field verification, and engineer input.
• Lead QA/QC reviews, coordinate inter-office BIM work, and mentor junior engineers and drafters on Revit standards and workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of drafting and design experience using Revit and AutoCAD for MEP construction drawing packages.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD, including BIM model setup, coordinate systems, Revit families, point clouds, parameters, schedules, sheet sets, and NCS standards.
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards, construction documentation, MEP systems, multidisciplinary coordination, and applicable codes and industry standards.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 and the ability to perform detailed QA/QC reviews.
• Associate degree in Drafting and Design or equivalent experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• US citizenship is required for security clearance requirements, and the ability to obtain federal security clearance is required. A valid, unrestricted driver's license is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, PTC Creo, SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk ReCap Pro, laser scanning, and Scan-to-BIM workflows.
• Experience preparing BIM proposals, scopes of work, assumptions, exclusions, and labor estimates.
• Knowledge of communications, fire alarm, and fire protection systems.
