Sr. Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure Engineering (AI)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid 70/30 work model with significant in-office collaboration. Only U.S. persons are eligible due to U.S. export control requirements.

Salary: $145,900–$234,200 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do

• Scope, launch, execute, and report on complex infrastructure engineering programs using structured, data-driven, and risk-based methods.
• Drive cloud modernization and rationalization of infrastructure platforms, tooling, and service models supporting AI workloads.
• Eliminate redundant, unsupported, and non-scalable infrastructure patterns while enabling secure, standardized, and supportable AI-ready foundations.
• Define and track KPIs for platform consolidation, cost optimization, risk reduction, and AI enablement readiness.
• Lead infrastructure service management and process improvement initiatives, including patch and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, AI Engineering, Network Engineering, IAM, Cybersecurity, IT, software engineering, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of program management experience, preferably in infrastructure engineering.
• Technical background in infrastructure engineering with strong ITSM knowledge.
• Experience managing programs within cross-functional global teams spanning engineering, architecture, and operations.
• Ability to drive complex multi-workstream programs and manage scope, schedule, cost, vendors, risks, and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, listening, and influencing skills, including the ability to operate without direct authority.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control laws; non-U.S. persons are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of AWS and Azure, plus compute, storage, networking, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, including GPUs, distributed training, data pipelines, and MLOps.
• Familiarity with ITIL, infrastructure transformation, security and compliance standards, and GxP regulatory environments.
