Software Engineer 3 (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, enhance, integrate, and test complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Analyze user and system requirements, derive software and performance requirements, and design software solutions.
• Develop algorithms, database interfaces, data queries, and solutions for large-scale data processing and real-time systems.
• Debug software, resolve problem reports, correct defects, and improve system performance.
• Coordinate software installation, monitor operational performance, and ensure quality control.
• Lead or oversee multiple software development teams, delegate programming and testing responsibilities, and coordinate with system and hardware engineers.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph is required.
• Twenty years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; four additional years of relevant software engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience with software design, development, testing, documentation, requirements analysis, and quality control.

Nice to have

• Python and Hugging Face transformer model integration and training.
• Data science workflows, ETL, data lakes, database management, and SQL.
• Developing and deploying ML/AI models in real-world applications, including PyTorch.
• Docker, Kubernetes, SLURM, and information retrieval evaluation techniques.
