Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Largely onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio, United States

What you will do

• Identify salient OPIR features for new AI/ML model development.
• Develop and mature R&D exploitation capabilities for satellite intelligence data.
• Build AI/ML algorithms for object identification and classification.
• Create Python-based solutions using frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Develop modular, reusable software using strong object-oriented practices.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to peers and decision makers while working through ambiguous requirements.

Requirements

• Master of Science in an AI/ML scientific discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience developing AI/ML algorithms for object identification or classification.
• At least 7 years of experience creating AI/ML solutions in Python.
• At least 3 years of experience with container technology such as Docker or Podman.
• Mastery of software configuration management with Git.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required.

Nice to have

• PhD in an AI/ML scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years of OPIR processing, exploitation, and analysis algorithm development experience.
• At least 5 years of PyTorch expertise.
• Experience with GitFlow and GitOps workflows using GitHub or GitLab.
