Staff SW Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $131,600–$210,300 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Architect and evolve an Agentic AI Platform supporting multi-agent orchestration, RAG, and integration with enterprise microservices.
• Build scalable backend services and RESTful or gRPC APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI, and Flask.
• Integrate GPT, Claude, Mistral, Gemini, and other LLMs into production systems and develop agentic workflows.
• Design horizontally scalable, fault-tolerant systems with monitoring, observability, autoscaling, and reliability practices.
• Partner with engineers, ML specialists, and product leads to deliver the platform roadmap.
• Mentor developers, lead design reviews, establish coding standards, and drive automation and technical innovation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2 years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 6+ years of backend software development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of backend experience with Python and FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Production experience building and deploying agentic AI solutions, LLM-based orchestration, GenAI, and RAG systems.
• Experience with distributed microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven architectures, message queues, vector databases, cloud platforms, SQL/NoSQL databases, containers, and CI/CD.
• Ability to work from the Bellevue office at least 3 days per week.
