Select Commercial Lines Service Account Executive (Property & Casualty Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role in Glastonbury, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide proactive, personalized account management for Select Commercial Lines clients generating $10,000–$15,000 in revenue.
• Analyze coverage options, compare carrier quotes, and recommend appropriate insurance programs and carriers.
• Manage renewal workflows, marketing, placement, invoicing, collections, and policy cancellations while avoiding coverage lapses.
• Provide technical expertise, negotiate with carriers, and support sales, cross-selling, and new business opportunities.
• Maintain at least 92% retention on the assigned book of business and manage accounts against company guidelines and performance indicators.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in sales and marketing meetings.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance and a valid Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex tasks with multiple concrete and abstract variables in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Glastonbury, Connecticut location.

Nice to have

• College degree.
• Knowledge of Sagitta and ImageRight.
• Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, or CPCU.
