Senior Risk Control Consultant Construction Safety

Location: Rancho Cordova, California, United States; requires a consistent field presence with approximately 20%–50% of time onsite with customers and travel that may include overnight or multi-night trips.

Annual base salary: $104,000–$171,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Evaluate complex construction industry accounts, including products liability, multi-location, and fleet exposures.
• Provide Underwriting with detailed knowledge of hazards, controls, management practices, and account differentiation.
• Conduct risk assessments, analyze losses, identify uncontrolled exposures, and recommend corrective actions.
• Write technically detailed reports communicating clear risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
• Partner with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers to select, retain, and grow profitable business.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and support higher-level projects affecting the Risk Control organization or hirify.global enterprise.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience in safety, risk control or management, occupational or environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or relevant military work.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or a related technical field.
• Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry and strong business acumen.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain certifications required by applicable state regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
• Recognized certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, or CFPS are relevant to the role.
