Engineering Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite work involving laboratory, manufacturing, clean-room, and field environments.

Salary: $39.00–$53.40 per hour, with potential additional bonus and stock compensation.

What you will do

• Design, fabricate, modify, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic and electromechanical systems, prototypes, circuitry, fixtures, and specialized test equipment.
• Diagnose system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical problems independently and perform complex NPI installations and field upgrades.
• Investigate issues with limited or no documentation, compile data, document findings, and recommend product or manufacturing process improvements.
• Write and maintain logbooks, test procedures, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms.
• Train junior Engineering Technicians, support NPI procedure development, and may coordinate resources or serve as a Quality Lead.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the relevant technical discipline.
• In-depth understanding of how engineering and manufacturing teams coordinate their work and resources.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good technical writing, interpersonal, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, distinguish colors, and work around noise and in clean-room environments.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including extended standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, working in tight spaces, and operating forklifts or other heavy machinery.
