Engineering Technician (Electro-Mechanical)

Location: Gloucester, MA, United States; onsite weekend shift

Salary: $29.00–$39.60 per hour

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electro-mechanical systems, prototypes, circuitry, tools, and test fixtures.
• Diagnose system- and component-level electrical and mechanical problems with minimal supervision.
• Perform complex new-system NPI installations and field upgrades.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms.
• Compile logbooks, develop technical reports and test procedures, and recommend product or process improvements.
• Train lower-level Engineering Technicians and provide technical guidance as a platform resource or Quality Lead.

Requirements

• Advanced specialized expertise in an analytical or scientific technical area.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with limited documentation or precedent.
• Understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes, with effective cross-functional communication.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, work in tight spaces, use hand and power tools, and lift equipment.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and use required personal protective equipment, including respirators and chemical aprons.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, and distinguish between colors.
