Reservoir Engineer (CO2)

Location: Midland, Texas; hybrid schedule available. Candidates must currently live in or be willing to move to Midland, Texas.

What you will do

• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, production and facility engineers, and field operations.
• Identify, develop, and execute non-miscible CO2 injection and other enhanced oil recovery projects for the Yates Field Unit.
• Evaluate development drilling, workover, horizontal well, reservoir surveillance, and performance forecasting opportunities.
• Use reservoir analysis to improve field profitability and make technical and economically sound recommendations.
• Prepare AFEs, economic analyses, technical documents, and management presentations.

Requirements

• 3–15 years of engineering experience; technically strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Petroleum engineering knowledge and practical oilfield operations experience.
• Experience with reservoir development, surveillance, forecasting, and reservoir analysis.
• Understanding of oil and gas finance, reserves, economics, and typical well-logging suites.
• High proficiency with technical and economic software, MS Office, and DSS/OFM production management software.
• Strong time management, data management, data manipulation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with waterflood or CO2 flood projects.
