Location: Remote within the USA with on-site meetings expected; project sites nationwide, initially associated with Washington, DC.

What you will do

  • Provide independent engineering support for DOE Energy Dominance Financing technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
  • Review well completion designs, stimulation approaches, well deliverability, production readiness, and related technical risks.
  • Evaluate project documentation, technical and commercial interfaces, assumptions, mitigations, and conditions precedent or disbursement readiness evidence.
  • Prepare completion designs, stimulation programs, well test analyses, cost estimates, completion risk assessments, and lender-ready reports.
  • Participate in data room reviews, borrower and contractor interviews, site observations, monitoring meetings, risk register updates, and draw package checks.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience.
  • Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • Experience in independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, data room review, information request tracking, and report writing.
  • Ability to perform Excel-based analysis and present clear, defensible findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions.
  • Ability to work remotely within the USA and attend on-site meetings or project-site activities nationwide.

Nice to have

  • PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or other discipline-specific credentials.
  • Experience with DOE or Loan Programs Office-style documentation and lender-oriented engineering advisory work.
