Auto Claim Representative

Annual salary: $55,200–$91,100, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives.

What you will do

• Handle low-to-moderate personal and business auto damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution, settlement, and payment.
• Provide consistent customer communication, explain the claims process, set expectations, and maintain service commitments.
• Analyze coverage, policy conditions, exclusions, endorsements, deductibles, limits, and priority of coverage across assigned jurisdictions.
• Investigate causation, liability, damages, exposure, and potential fraud by contacting policyholders, claimants, witnesses, law enforcement, agents, and other parties.
• Coordinate inspections, appraisals, repairs, referrals to subject matter experts, claim reserves, file documentation, negotiations, and settlements.
• Obtain and maintain required insurance licenses, generally within three months of starting, along with required continuing education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of previous auto claim handling experience or successful completion of the hirify.global Auto Claim Representative training program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Intermediate Windows, Excel, Word, verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, judgment, and negotiation skills.
• Basic insurance contract knowledge, value determination, and settlement techniques, with intermediate investigation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
