Claims Representative (Insurance)

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States; in-person initial training followed by a merit-based hybrid work-from-home program.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle entry-level insurance claims under close supervision.
• Review policies, endorsements, and forms to build knowledge of insurance products.
• Communicate with agents, insureds, claimants, legal counsel, and third parties.
• Develop estimating and computer-based loss-adjustment skills.
• Complete the company’s claims training program and obtain required adjuster licenses.
• Resolve claims accurately and within established timelines while following claim-handling procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in property and casualty claims handling.
• Ability to organize data, multitask, make independent decisions, and resolve complex issues.
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and correspondence.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals and maintain confidentiality and data security.
• Ability to accurately handle mathematical, geometry, and financial calculations.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to drive, and a driving record meeting company underwriting guidelines; must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
