Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $95,000–$132,000 annually

What you will do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for security impact analysis, NOC packages, compliance questions, and ATO activities.
• Perform risk analyses and assessments for proposed system changes and validate implementation of NIST 800-53 security controls.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, Privacy Impact Assessments, Information System Contingency Plans, and related security documentation.
• Coordinate and document annual contingency plan tests, cyber tabletop exercises, and recurring ISSO checklist activities.
• Manage continuous monitoring deliverables, account validations, customer responsibility matrices, and system updates in ArchAngel.
• Participate in IRB, CCB, A&A, M21-31, compliance, and government stakeholder meetings; verify required FedRAMP and TRB approvals for security tools.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in information security, cybersecurity compliance, risk management, or related IT security functions.
• Experience with security authorization and compliance activities in federal, government, or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework principles and NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
• Experience maintaining SSPs, POA&Ms, risk assessments, contingency plans, continuous monitoring activities, and compliance documentation.

Nice to have

• Security+, CAP, CISSP, CISM, or another relevant cybersecurity certification.
• Experience with Assessment and Authorization or Authority to Operate activities.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, cloud security, and federal cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting government customers and stakeholders.
