Senior Information System Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead activities across all Risk Management Framework phases, from preparation and categorization through authorization and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain accreditation artifacts, including SSPs, SARs, risk assessments, and POA&Ms.
• Monitor compliance with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ICD 503, FedRAMP, FISMA, and agency-specific policies.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, compliance checks, risk assessments, and remediation tracking using Nessus or Tenable.sc.
• Create security documentation, continuous monitoring strategies, incident response plans, and compliance reports; brief leadership and Authorizing Officials.
• Collaborate with system owners, engineers, and developers on secure design and operations, while supporting incident response, access reviews, and security awareness training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of cumulative experience in IT systems administration, cybersecurity compliance, troubleshooting, and incident response.
• At least 6 years of experience in roles such as Information Systems Security Engineer or in accrediting Sponsor programs.
• Experience completing system authorization and accreditation through the Sponsor’s A&A processes, including systems such as Greenlight.
• Experience accrediting systems built on C2E or C2S Amazon Web Services using the Sponsor’s A&A process.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.

Nice to have

• AWS or equivalent cloud certification.
• Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification.
