Gas Transmission Engineer (Natural Gas)

Salary: $66,000–$130,000 per year, depending on experience, education, and skills.

What you will do

• Manage small- to moderate-scope transmission and high-pressure, large-diameter distribution pipeline projects, including route analysis, design, permitting, easements, materials, specifications, bidding, construction support, restoration, and documentation.
• Manage project budgets and provide cost and schedule forecasts, weekly MOS reports, and support for annual capital budget development.
• Provide civil engineering design and engineering support for Corporate Engineering, Gas Transportation, operations, maintenance, and special projects.
• Develop and update operations and maintenance procedures and Design & Construction standards.
• Support or manage large-scale and complex transmission and distribution piping projects.
• Analyze complex loading scenarios on existing pipelines and support civil and structural projects at process facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• General knowledge of related engineering disciplines, applicable codes, and standards.
• Effective relationship-building skills with internal and external business partners.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and other software for data management, research, analysis, and reporting.
• Level II: 1–2 years of relevant natural gas or related industry experience; EIT and PMP certifications are preferred.
• Level III or IV: 3+ or 5+ years of relevant experience, respectively, with required EIT, PMP, or GTI CGTP for Transmission certification; PE certification is preferred.
