What you will do
- Manage gas distribution, pipeline, and related civil, electrical, mechanical, and process instrumentation construction projects.
- Attend pre-construction site visits and support drawing updates, schedule revisions, scope definition, and constructability reviews.
- Lead project kick-off and weekly construction progress meetings and maintain field records.
- Monitor daily construction activities against safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Oversee contractor RFPs, planning, resources, inspections, field technicians, records, invoices, and time sheets.
- Enforce approved contractor safety plans, project permits, safety regulations, and client quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- At least 8 years of field project engineering experience on construction management projects.
- Experience in gas distribution, gas pipelines, water/wastewater, or petrochemical industries.
- Knowledge of industrial and piping materials, gas transmission and distribution systems, conveyance pipeline construction, and metallic and plastic welding processes.
- Ability to interpret and communicate civil, electrical, mechanical, process instrumentation, construction procedures, work methods, standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Ability to work on field construction operations in Iowa City, Iowa.
