Senior Revenue Accountant (Oil and Gas)

hirify.global operates in the oil and gas industry and is hiring for a revenue accounting role.

What you will do

• Analyze monthly revenue data, production volumes, and pricing for accrual and re-accrual processes.
• Prepare journal entries for operated and non-operated properties.
• Reconcile revenue accruals to actual results, investigate variances, and support PPA analysis.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and assist with revenue-related financial reporting and disclosures.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and support reporting objectives.
• Meet reporting deadlines and maintain compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least five years of accounting experience, including at least three years in oil and gas accounting.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
• Strong knowledge of revenue accounting and general accounting principles.
• Work authorization is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Relocation assistance is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience driving process improvements and implementing efficiencies.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Strong organizational, time management, adaptability, and attention-to-detail skills.
