Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting (Insurance)

Location: Dallas, TX; in-office 5 days a week

What you will do

• Prepare monthly journal entries, management discussion and analysis, and key revenue reporting for month-end close.
• Prepare and review long-term value assessments, contract assets, balance sheet roll-forwards, reconciliations, and revenue disclosures.
• Account for and analyze cost of revenue, including identifying, allocating, and reporting production-related costs.
• Use analytics to identify data anomalies, trends, and variances between actual results and estimates.
• Maintain revenue-related internal controls and support risk assessment, mitigation, and process improvements.
• Work with Sales Operations, Commissions Operations, FP&A, IT, and external auditors on revenue recognition, reporting, and SOX compliance.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of related accounting experience; public company accounting experience is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Understanding of revenue accounting, ASC 606, internal controls, risk assessment, and mitigation.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the office five days per week in Dallas, TX.
