Senior Accountant (Financial Reporting)

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, supporting documentation, schedules, and accounting analyses.
• Perform and support general ledger account reconciliations, including issue resolution and coordination related to system outages.
• Prepare financial schedules and analyses for SEC, regulatory, internal, and management reporting.
• Maintain and enhance accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes in compliance with SOX and banking regulations.
• Research and document complex transactions involving treasury activities, foreign exchange, and derivative instruments in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Support Oracle ARCS administration, project coordination, user training, system enhancements, and mentoring of junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
• At least five years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and ability to work with complex, non-standardized accounting matters.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with management, subsidiaries, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.

Nice to have

• At least two years of public accounting experience.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA qualification.
