Senior Accounting Analyst - Cost Focus

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States; hybrid schedule

What you will do

• Support financial accounting, reporting, and month-end close activities, including journal entries and general ledger analysis.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, accruals, inventory accounting, and ad hoc close entries.
• Perform product costing activities, including maintaining standard gas and hard-goods costs and preparing daily Moving Average Price analyses.
• Analyze cost of sales accounts and prepare reports for divisional, branch, corporate, and audit requests.
• Collaborate with ALABS shared services across accounts payable, billing, cash applications, vendor chargebacks, general ledger, and fixed assets.
• Improve accounting and reporting processes, support compliance, and provide guidance and training to accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least three years of financial reporting or financial accounting experience; public accounting experience is relevant.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and IFRS/GAAP.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with internal customers, external parties, and a complex matrixed organization.
• Ability to understand the impact of new technologies on processes and costs and integrate technologies into daily operations.
• Organizational, team-building, people, client-service, quality, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or MBA in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience with medium-to-large companies.
• Advanced SAP experience.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
