Clinical Consulting Manager - State Hospitals

Location: Overland Park, Kansas, United States. The role supports clients from the Midwest to the West Coast, including Hawaii, and may require travel and extended or irregular hours.

What you will do

• Serve as the clinical authority on state hospital operations, inpatient psychiatry, forensic programming, competency restoration, and long-term treatment models.
• Provide clinical, workflow, regulatory, accreditation, and documentation guidance across pre-sales, solution design, implementation, go-live, and ongoing optimization.
• Translate state hospital requirements into EHR workflows, documentation templates, assessment tools, and clinical decision-support elements.
• Act as a bridge between client work practices and hirify.global solutions to support effective EHR adoption.
• Guide change management and clinical transformation in complex, high-acuity treatment environments.
• Track emerging regulations, treatment models, and national trends in state hospital and forensic mental health care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral health, or a related clinical field, with active clinical or professional licensure.
• At least 5 years of experience in a state hospital, forensic mental health program, secure inpatient psychiatric facility, or similar high-acuity environment.
• Strong knowledge of state hospital workflows, treatment models, interdisciplinary processes, clinical documentation, and state and federal regulations.
• Recent experience with EHR systems, clinical informatics, or healthcare IT.
• Strong public speaking, training, and facilitation skills.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with the California Department of State Hospitals.
• Experience with hirify.global solutions or another EHR vendor.
• Experience implementing or optimizing EHR workflows in state hospital or forensic settings.
• Knowledge of statewide reporting, quality programs, and compliance frameworks.
