Sr Project Const Manager

Location: Onsite in Upper Marlboro, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland, United States. Extended hours may be required during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Annual salary: $90,400–$124,300, plus a 15% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Manage the construction process for centrally managed transmission, distribution, and substation projects, meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external construction resources to maximize productivity, safety, quality, diversity, and cost savings.
• Review engineering design drawings and resolve constructability issues, field barriers, and schedule delays.
• Lead job-site walkdowns, engineering and construction meetings, safety briefings, and stakeholder site visits.
• Monitor contractor quality assurance through audits, inspections, and surveillances, and support incident investigations and condition reports.
• Manage construction spending and coach staff-augmentation construction management members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4–7 years of transmission or distribution construction experience, or a high school diploma and 6–9 years of related experience.
• Project management experience and knowledge of project management concepts and principles.
• Strong knowledge of company and OSHA safety guidelines and regulations.
• Analytical ability, strong written and oral communication skills, and experience building consensus and establishing trust.
• Experience administering large-dollar construction and maintenance projects; previous supervisory experience.
• Lockout/Tagout and OSHA 30 certifications are required within the first year; knowledge of PASSPORT is required.
