Superintendent (Civil Construction)

Location: Richmond, VA; onsite work on projects in the Greater Richmond area. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Base salary: $85,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Schedule, supervise, and monitor construction activities to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Lead field operations and supervise the workforce to maintain safety, productivity, and budget performance.
• Develop project schedules, sequence work, and monitor daily productivity.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and construction management on budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate materials and equipment deliveries, including long-lead and critical-path items.
• Maintain daily site logs, report operations to management, and ensure timely completion of punch lists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a large-scale heavy civil contractor or equivalent industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Ability to lead field operations with effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, safe operating practices, maintenance, and local, state, and federal construction regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
